Dear Parents/students

Welcome to September newsletter.

Spring is in the air, and with the season comes revival, renewal, and a general awakening of the human spirit.

Deep within us we all feel an abundant surge of power waiting for purpose. Spring is the time to abandon fears and limitation, to trust your instincts and to harness this inner power in your life whenever you may need it.

Remember that inner spirit is limitless. It only requires a focused mind to direct it.

The words of Goethe

“Boldness has genius, power and magic. Begin it!”

Whenever I think of the human spirit and what it is capable of, it brings to mind an old samurai story.

Samurai Stories:

A long time ago, their was a Samurai and his fiancé who were deeply in love. One day his fiancé was walking through the forest when she was attacked and seriously mauled by a man eating tiger. No matter what the young samurai did, nothing could save her life and she died.

From the depths of his sorrow he vowed to revenge his beloved by seeking out the tiger and killing it. So he took his bow and arrow, and sought out into the forest, day after day in search of the man eating beast.

Searching daily the samurai finally saw the sleeping tiger in the distance and concluded that this must be the tiger responsible for the death of his lover. He drew his bow, took careful aim and released the arrow which found its mark and pierced the tiger’s body deeply. Drawing and mounting another arrow, he slowly approached the motionless creature to confirm the kill only to find the arrow stuck deeply into a striped coloured stone which appeared to resemble that of a sleeping tiger.

The story forms the basis of the understanding how a strong will can even pierce stone, but more importantly clearly demonstrates how resolve can serve as a powerful vehicle.

We greatly encourage the support of your children, however when chatter at the back of classes is happening, a very distractive element is brought to the class both for the student and the teacher.

We appeal to you to please take the chatter outside if you are not watching your children.
